What happened to The Letter Press
The Letter Press of Cirencester is now part of Gee Brothers
If you are looking for The Letter Press of Cirencester — the printers at letterpress.co.uk, on Cripps Road in Cirencester, who printed your wedding invitations, correspondence cards, writing paper or orders of service — you are in the right place.
The Letter Press was founded in 1986 by Anthony Eyre and Kate Rous, and spent three decades at the top of the personal and wedding stationery market: classic house layouts, letterpress, litho and die-stamping in house, and engraving, gilding, foil blocking and thermography alongside. In 2017 The Letter Press joined Gee Brothers of London, and the Cirencester workshop has since closed. The work carried on — it simply moved to our own workshop in Battersea, where it is printed today.
Gee Brothers has been printing since 1958 and works exactly the way The Letter Press did: traditional processes, properly made paper and card, and a named person who looks after your job from proof to delivery. If The Letter Press printed for you before, we can pick up where they left off.

Yes — letterpress, die-stamping, engraving, thermography and foil blocking are all still offered. Letterpress gives a debossed impression pressed into the sheet; die-stamping raises the ink off it. You can compare each finish on our print finishes page, or ask us for a sample.
