Guillotining is not a precise action, and when a border is added to a card, if its width varies even a little it will be noticeable. To overcome this problem, when a very narrow border is wanted, the process changes, and an Italian border is added with a paintbrush. This again is not a perfect solution as it is done by hand, but it is at least more accurate than it would have been had it been a printed border and then guillotined to the very narrow width needed. However they are very attractive with the brush effect.
We have some white Italian bordered cards (110x152mm) available from stock and sold in packets of 20 with envelopes lined in a complimentary colour tissue.
